Beautiful Bonaventure…..(Panama City Photographer)

In my last blog post I mentioned that I would be putting up photos taken at Bonaventure Cemetery from my recent trip to Savannah.  I have gone through the couple hundred shots I took there and chose these few to post.  It is an amazing and beautiful place and I always think about one of my all time favorite books, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, when I’m there.  If you find yourself in Savannah, it is worth your time to at least drive through it, you’ll be happy you did!

Savannah Style……(Panama City Beach Portrait Photographer)

We FINALLY did it!  Chan and I went back to his home town of Savannah Georgia and were “tourist” for 2 days.  I say “finally” because we come to visit Chan’s mother a few times a year, but we have never played tourist…. until this week.  I shot close to 1000 photographs in the past two days, so the brief slide show you’ll see here is just a taste of what we did.  Chan was gracious enough to snap a couple pics of me also….I really love the black and white one with the children walking by that were on a field trip.  There were several children that were hamming it up for the camera, but this is on of my favorites that Chan snapped from his hip.  Also, I hope you’re not hungry, because I have photos of food spread out through the slide show as well.  Savannah is a great place to sample some fine Southern food.  Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House is the prime place if you ever find yourself in Savannah.  Make sure to put it on your list of places to eat, you will be glad you did.  Just remember to get in line early as they stop serving at 1:00 and the line starts forming out the door around 10:45 am.  I hope you enjoy the photos and check back again soon as I am going to upload my slide show of photos from “Bonaventure Cemetery” in another blog post.   Thanks for looking and please share with friends…..

I Wuuuv You Miss Wana… (Panama City FL Lifestyle Photographer)

I had the recent pleasure to photograph a favorite Lady of mine and her family.  It just so happens that this Lady is my gorgeous studio assistant Tara Platt.  She does not know I planned to blog her session, but why wouldn’t I???  We did the session at her home and her super nice hubby Doug was a great sport for the shoot.  These few pics are just a quick peek from the session, but are some of Tara’s favorites, I think.  She had them in a separate folder, so I’m just taking a wild guess about that,;-).  Oh, have to tell you the reason I named this blog post “I Wuuuv You Miss Wana”, this is what her little one ran up and first said to me when I got out of my car.  How can your heart not melt at hearing that?  Love you all, Miss Wana….

Austen is AWESOME! (Panama City Florida Photographer)

It is has been a CRAZY busy week here at the studio.  With 7 shoots and lots and lots of editing behind me, my eyes are a bit tired, but it’s what I love to do!  Today’s Family Lifestyle Session with the Sweazy Family was the icing on the cake for my week.  It was my first time to meet young Austen and what a fun little boy he is.  I’ve known his mom Rachel since she was about his age so getting to see her little boy was such a joy for me.  He is so adorable and you just can’t help but want to pinch those cute cheeks of his, his smile is contagious!  Thanks Kim for asking me to photograph your growing family!

Sweet Maura Rose….(Panama City FL Baby Photographer)

Where to begin?

Baby Maura was born into a family that is very close and dear to my heart.  Maura’s  father’s mother “Donna Sue” was and still is one of my very best friends.  In fact we say we are sisters and who would ever know differently unless we told them?   I am still having a hard time calling her grandmother, can you tell?   She is only 2 years older than me and I surely can’t be old enough to be a grandmother, can I?  Donna Sue and I grew up with one house separating us, on a dead end street, on Lookout Mountain in Ft. Payne Alabama.  Many great memories of my childhood were made with Donna Sue.  One major memory was the morning I was riding to school with her and the power steering went out on her dad’s truck, mind you we were going down Beeson’s Gap, and if you have ever driven on it you know how steep and winding it is.  She managed to get the truck under control and us to safety, but we have never forgotten how scarey it was.  I could sit here and write a book about our experiences together, but you’re really here to see her adorable grandbaby Maura, so enjoy looking at her sweet toes and fingers, her first two teeth and those HUGE beautiful blue eyes that look so much like her……. well, grandmother’s…… “Donna Sue”!  Love you Sis!
